Is it free to run live update in Norton AntiVirus?Do I had to pay any thing if I use the older version to run live update to update the latest virus definition?

Dont use norton. It is very disobedient software. It will create more problems than solutions. Use AVG, mcaffe or avast. These are free also.
I havent used Norton in a long time but I think you can update it for free for 1 year from when you installed it. After that I think you have to pay for renewal or subscription to continue getting updates.

Try AVG Anti-virus which is free and not as bloated and cumbersome as Norton is, once you install any Norton product it is difficult to fully remove it.
