I don't mind spending money on spyware or antivirus programs, are they better then the free ones? Cause im trying to do it for free but everything sounds complicated. And what are some good ones i can buy that will fix my all my virus problems... or if there are any. stuff you can buy at a best buy or places like that.
Virus. Would paying for a spyware or antivirus program be better?computer protection
Not necessarily. Some free programs are better than many paid ones, but in most cases, paid software gives you the lot - automatic updates, real-time protection, customer support and other goodies.
If you want award-winning all-round protection, I suggest you buy ESET's Smart Security or Kaspersky's Personal Security Suite. They're considered as two of the industry's best.
If you're willing to settle for average-good protection, I suggest you try AVG Free Edition, Zone Alarm Firewall and Lavasoft's Ad-Aware Free. Together, they provide good protection and should be sufficient for home usage.
Virus. Would paying for a spyware or antivirus program be better?free antivirus download
I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. AVG does not slow the system down as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from the following linkhttp://www.computeractive.co.uk/. On the home page select downloads and then the appropriate category.I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
There are good programs out there for free...........a combination of AVG and Zonealarm worked for me for years.
