Is norton antivirus we get from google pack really free?

It's free for a period of time, the you have to pay online to update the definitions or go out and buy it. (Little hint here, even if you buy the program you only get free updates for a period of time and then will have to pay to update your subscription). It's a total rip-off. Download AVG, it's always free, updates everyday for free and catches alot of stuff Norton will not. Also Norton will mess up your system bigger than anything I have ever seen. Stay away from it.

Yes, it is free. I have used it for several months and I have not seen any threat of expiration---Even if there were an expiration date, I believe that you can always just download it again. There are also weekly updates to the virus definition file, but you can always get a daily update by downloading directly from the Norton site.

No. The software is 'free' but you must pay the annual subscription fee for the virus definitions. A far better anti-virus is AVG and it is still free. You can get it here:

It does not run as 'heavy' as Norton's and is far easier to use. Best of all - virus definitions are free for the life of the product. I have used AVG and recommend it to all of my clients for years!
Yes, it is free. But I will suggest u, dont use it. It will create many problems for u. Use avg instead. That is better.
Yep says so right on the box
I didn't get it from there, but probably not. it might be "Sign up for one year and get three months" thing...
probably not.
