the free antivirus program i'm using ends in a few days and i have to get a new antivirus program. Once i do this, how do i remove all of the old antivirus program and files that came with it?

To uninstall your current antivirus, there should be a couple of possible ways. [I'm assuming Windows] Click your "Start" Menu button, and select "Program Files". Find your current antivirus software program in the list of programs and see if there are some other program links associated with it. Usually, a software package will include a link to uninstall it.
If you can't find that, then select 'Start - Settings' go to your "Control Panel", select "Add/Remove Programs", find your old antivirus program, select it, and uninstall it with the "Remove" button.
